Lapitec® celebrates in England the summer of stones

After the success of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May, Lapitec, is to play a staring role in a charity’s garden at the RHS Hampton Court Palace flower show.

Lapitec is to be used to great effect in ‘Help Save a Young Life’, the Bowel Disease UK’s Hampton Court garden. The garden (HC686) tells a story about Crohn’s disease, which mainly affects young people, and illustrates how young lives can be both challenging and vibrant after being diagnosed with Crohn’s.

The garden includes a paved area and pathway made of Lapitec, Nero Antracite in a Fossil finish. The sintered stone has been fabricated for and installed into the garden by approved Lapitec fabricator London Stone, who commented; “We’re quite obsessed by new technology and techniques, so Lapitec was an obvious choice for our Bowel Disease UK garden. Lapitec allowed us to create a fluid styling and show off the opportunities that new technologies in paving production and technology can offer.”

Stephen Pike, Managing Director of The Marble & Granite Centre Ltd added – the English distributors of Lapitec, says “It’s wonderful to see both granite and Lapitec used in such creative ways by garden designers. Both gardens really illustrate that the use of natural and sintered stone is limited only by our imaginations.”
