Lapitec technology for Azimut Yachts.
Azimut S6 - one of the most recent success stories of Azimut Yachts, the leading Italian designer of 10 to 35 metre-long boats - presents a new sailing concept, offering large and bright spaces that are simple yet sophisticated, boasting on-trend interior design. The kitchen worktop on the main deck of the Azimut S6 is made entirely from Lapitec, with this material showing off the best of its performance potential on board this luxury yacht.
Combining technical and aesthetic qualities in a revolutionary way, allowing Lapitec to satisfy the two main design objectives of this yacht, produced by Azimut Yachts: to be a next-generation model, an ‘avant-garde’ yacht, while maintaining a contemporary and sophisticated look, concealing extraordinary performance in every single detail.
The layout and interior spaces were researched by Francesco Guida, who decided to combine open and comfortable areas - typical of the most modern yachts - with a range of materials offering warm and welcoming shades.
The kitchen uses the same colours as those chosen for the yacht’s decor: the doors are in light-coloured wood, enriched with a grain effect, which conceal the appliances; the contrasting dark brown worktop is home to the built-in sink and hob. This worktop is made from Lapitec, in the colour Terra Moca and with the Vesuvio finish, bringing to mind the irregular surface of natural stone, also to the touch.
Efficiency and high performance.
Boasting innovative technology covered by 25 patents, Lapitec perfectly embodies the dynamic spirit that led the S6 to be developed in the first place: the only sintered stone available on the market to date, this material is a mixture of 100% natural materials which are baked at high temperatures to create “full-bodied” slabs, without any resin, ink or other oil derivatives, offering high levels of performance. Its completely non-porous surface also makes this material the ideal choice in terms of hygiene and ease of maintenance, offering guaranteed resistance to UV rays, weather conditions, fluctuations in temperature, liquids and salty environments.
